The Sacre Coeur is the most beautiful church I've ever seen. I think it is fitting that it sits high atop Paris in its rightful place to remind us to look upwards. I found my favorite spot behind the basilica in a park with its own waterfall. From the shade of the trees, the sound of the water rushing out and a cool breeze wafting over me as I sit on a well placed bench it is very much a peaceful sanctuary. As time passes and future trips to this glorious city unfold it may well turn out to be my favorite spot in Paris. For now, it already is.
